Position Overview BNB Repairs Inc. is seeking an experienced, dependable Licensed Master Plumber to support our growing commercial facility-maintenance operation in Buffalo and Western New York. This position combines hands-on commercial plumbing service with permitting, code compliance, inspections, technical leadership, and oversight of plumbing technicians and subcontractors. The ideal candidate is a strong diagnostician who can work independently, communicate professionally with customers, and ensure every job is completed safely, correctly, and thoroughly documented. This is a field-based position offering a high level of independence. Technicians operate with the support of our office team and mobile technology platform, allowing for efficient job management and communication. Key Responsibilities Diagnose and repair commercial plumbing problems, including leaks, water-supply issues, drain and sewer problems, fixtures, valves, pumps, water heaters, and related systems. Complete plumbing installations, replacements, preventive maintenance, and emergency repairs. Obtain required plumbing permits and coordinate inspections with local authorities. Ensure all work complies with applicable plumbing codes, permit requirements, manufacturer specifications, and company safety standards. Supervise and provide technical direction to journeyman plumbers, apprentices, technicians, and approved subcontractors when required. Review proposed scopes of work, material lists, labor requirements, and field conditions. Identify the root cause of plumbing failures and recommend long-term corrective actions. Prepare accurate estimates and clearly document any work that exceeds the original scope or not-to-exceed amount. Maintain complete service records, including work performed, before-and-after photographs, materials used, equipment information, and recommended follow-up work. Communicate professionally with customers, facility managers, dispatchers, and BNB management. Participate in a rotating on-call schedule for emergency commercial service. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area while following all OSHA and company safety requirements. What We're Looking For Active Master Plumber license or ability to have the required license active before beginning work. Strong commercial plumbing service, repair, and installation experience. Thorough knowledge of plumbing codes, permitting procedures, inspections, and accepted trade practices. Ability to diagnose complex plumbing problems and develop effective repair solutions. Experience supervising or providing technical direction to other plumbing professionals. Ability to read plans, specifications, equipment documentation, and plumbing diagrams. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to use a smartphone or tablet for work orders, photographs, timekeeping, and job documentation. Strong communication, organization, and customer-service skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple service priorities.
