EDGE DEVELOPMENT

Edge Development is a start-up Buffalo-based development and construction firm focused on innovative mixed-use developments, commercial buildings, multifamily communities, and custom residential projects across Western New York. Edge designs, develops, builds, and manages its own projects and serves as a commercial general contractor and residential construction expert for Buffalo-area homeowners, investors, and developers. Edge is an early-stage start-up organization with a small growing team, the experience to execute at a high level, and the runway to scale operations at a rapid pace. Construction is tough... but Edge makes it fun. By adopting modern methods and tools, including AI, and expanding what we accomplish with our own team, Edge is building a durable advantage over traditional general contracting operations. THE ROLE

Edge is building residential plumbing and fire sprinkler (13D) capability inside a development company with a multi-year pipeline of new construction.

This is contracted new-construction work:

steady volume, no service calls, no slow seasons. We are considering candidates from several backgrounds: A master plumber prepared to lead an in-house plumbing operation and build it from the ground up A journeyman plumber we can build an operation around, adding sprinkler installation to the skill set A sprinkler fitter willing to learn plumbing and develop into a dual-trade role An experienced plumber's apprentice with real field time, ready for greater responsibility Wherever you start, the direction is the same: a leadership role in a trade operation with committed volume behind it.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Rough-in and finish plumbing on new residential construction, townhomes and single-family Install residential fire sprinkler systems (13D); we will train the sprinkler side for plumbers, and the reverse for fitters Establish standards, materials, and methods for the operation as it grows Work alongside our field team on projects we develop, build, and manage

QUALIFICATIONS

Legitimate plumbing or sprinkler experience; licensure is valued, but skill and work ethic carry more weight Interest in building a long-term operation, not just filling a position Willingness to learn the other half of the trade Careful, honest, and takes pride in work that has to be right the first time

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
