Plumber STATUS This position will be filled according to the Civil Service rules by a Probationary appointment.QUALIFICATIONS
Two years of commercial plumbing experience as a plumber at the journeyman level; OR Five years of commercial plumbing experience assisting a journeyman plumber; High School Diploma or General Equivalency DiplomaLOCATION
Buildings and GroundsDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Diagnose and repair leaks, clogged drains, broken pipes, and other plumbing issues Coordinates with contractors and vendors on plumbing related projects Ensures all work complies with applicable plumbing codes, OSHA regulations, and, district safety policies. Installs water service piping which includes wiping and testing joints Installs and repairs fixtures such as laboratory facilities, drinking fountains, and sprinkling systems. Assemble pipe sections, tubing and fittings, using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement, plastic solvent, caulking, or soldering, brazing and welding equipment Repair and maintain plumbing, replacing defective washers, replacing or mending broken pipes, and opening clogged drains. Customary duties associated with the position SALARY Salary will be determined according to CSEA Bargaining Unit AgreementFINGERPRINT CLEARANCE
