Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Junior Plumbing Mechanic/Helper and kickstart your career in the construction and plumbing industry! In this role, you will assist experienced plumbers with installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in both Residential and Commercial sites. Your enthusiasm and willingness to learn will help ensure projects run smoothly, safely, and efficiently. This position offers a fantastic opportunity to develop hands-on skills in plumbing, mechanical systems, and construction processes while contributing to high-quality building projects. Responsibilities Assist Master Plumbers with complex plumbing installations and repairs. Troubleshoot plumbing issues and recommend solutions. Install pipes, valves, and fixtures for new construction and service. Measuring, cutting, and threading pipes. Packing/sorting tools, materials & equipment for each job Cutting open walls to expose piping Installing boilers & water heaters. Installing plumbing fixtures (sinks, faucets, toilets & shower bodies) Maintain a clean, organized work truck and job site. Follow all local building codes and safety standards. Rough plumbing/installation of all new piping. Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and welding equipment safely and effectively Follow instructions from supervisors to complete tasks efficiently while prioritizing safety and quality Qualifications Clean/Valid Driver's license Punctual, Reliable and a Strong desire to learn Good problem solving skills Good listening and communication skills Strong attention to detail Ability to work after-hours and weekends when needed. Construction experience or background in construction plumbing is highly preferred Basic knowledge of plumbing systems, pipe installation, and maintenance techniques Experience with welding, pipe threading, carpentry, HVAC or handyman tasks is a plus Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, and safety equipment properly Strong mechanical aptitude with basic math skills for measurements and calculations Commitment to safety protocol adherence and understanding of building code compliance Excellent teamwork skills with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in a field service environment This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to gain practical experience in plumbing and construction while working alongside skilled professionals.
