Organization Overview Plant Operations offers comprehensive services at The Rockefeller University,including a full range of building trades services which are responsible for routine maintenance and minor/major space alterations,plumbing,electrical,carpentry,HVAC,grounds maintenance,locksmith,custodial,moving,and setup services. Overview Under the supervision of the Foreman and officials responsible for the coordination and accomplishment of plant maintenance and operations work, the Plumber is responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems, fixtures, and equipment that support water distribution, wastewater disposal, air, vacuum, and gas services throughout residential, commercial, and industrial facilities. This position ensures all work is performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations. The Plumber maintains a clean and organized work area, troubleshoots plumbing issues, performs preventive maintenance, and supports the reliable operation of building infrastructure and systems. Responsibilities Demonstrate proficiency in the installation, maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of plumbing systems related to water distribution and wastewater disposal in residential, commercial, and industrial facilities Possess a thorough understanding of applicable plumbing codes, building codes, and safety regulations Inspect, diagnose, and resolve plumbing system issues in a timely and effective manner Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, technical manuals, and work orders Utilize strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills to identify and address system deficiencies Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, contractors, and building occupants Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Perform work in a variety of environmental conditions, including exposure to hazardous materials, toxic or caustic chemicals, fumes, confined spaces, and varying temperatures Additional responsibilities will be assigned as needed
Qualifications Required Qualifications:

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
Compensation Range:
Min USD $74,000.00/Yr.
Compensation Range:
Max USD $78,000.00/Yr.
