Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Senior Construction Scheduler to join our team in supporting multi-million and multi-billion-dollar public transit and heavy civil infrastructure capital programs in the NYC area. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in Critical Path Method (CPM) scheduling using Primavera P6, a strong background in capital project delivery, and proven experience managing complex schedules involving multi-discipline engineering, third-party coordination, and active rail/transit operations.
Key Responsibilities Master Schedule Management:
Develop, maintain, and integrate detailed Critical Path Method (CPM) master program and project schedules in Primavera P6 across all project phases (design, procurement, construction, and closeout).
Baseline & Progress Updates:
Review, analyze, and validate contractor baseline schedules, monthly CPM updates, look-aheads, and narrative reports for accuracy, logic integrity, and contract compliance.
Delay & Impact Analysis:
Perform critical path analyses, float evaluations, Time Impact Analyses (TIA), fragnet schedule reviews, and delay claim assessments. Identify root causes of project slippage and recommend actionable recovery/mitigation strategies.
Earned Value & Risk Management:
Execute Earned Value (EV) management analysis, track progress metrics, and participate in quantitative/qualitative schedule risk assessments.
Stakeholder Facilitation:
Facilitate scheduling workshops and alignment sessions with project management teams, prime contractors, transit operating agencies, and external stakeholders.
Executive Reporting:
Generate clear visual reports, milestone variance matrices, critical path graphics, and executive summaries for project leadership.
Required Qualifications & Skills Education:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Operations Research, or a related technical discipline.
Experience:
Minimum of 8+ years of professional experience in construction scheduling on major infrastructure or public works projects.
Software Mastery:
Expert-level proficiency in Primavera P6 (Professional and/or P6 EPPM / Cloud) . Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel (advanced), and Primavera Risk Analysis is a plus. Transit /
Public Works Background:
Demonstrated experience working on public-sector infrastructure projects (preferably with agencies such as MTA C&D, NYCT, Metro-North Railroad, LIRR, NYCDDC, or PANYNJ ).
Construction Certification Safety & Site Readiness:
