Responsibilities Assist senior plumbers with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems on construction sites. Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications to ensure accurate pipe and system placement. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding tools safely and effectively to complete tasks. Support the assembly and remodeling of plumbing components, ensuring compliance with building codes and safety standards. Participate in field service activities including troubleshooting plumbing issues, system repairs, and routine maintenance. Follow safety protocols diligently during all tasks to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and team members. Help with site preparation, material handling, and cleanup to keep work areas organized and efficient. Skills Construction experience or background in construction plumbing is highly desirable. Knowledge of welding techniques and pipe threading processes to assist with system assembly. Ability to read blueprints, technical drawings, and interpret mechanical schematics accurately. Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and power tool safety procedures essential for daily tasks. Understanding of building code compliance related to plumbing systems and safety regulations. Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and understanding technical specifications. Customer service orientation when interacting with clients or contractors on-site. Experience with plumbing system maintenance, repair work, or remodeling projects preferred. Mechanical knowledge related to plumbing components, fixtures, and piping systems. Field service experience that demonstrates adaptability in various construction environments. Handyman skills or general maintenance experience beneficial for supporting diverse project needs.
