Responsibilities:
The Plumbing Specialist installs, maintains, repairs, and tests plumbing, medical gas, water, drainage, and fire protection systems in a healthcare environment, ensuring safe, reliable, and code-compliant operation. Install, inspect, maintain, repair, and test plumbing, medical gas, domestic water, drainage, and fire protection systems. Troubleshoot and resolve complex plumbing and mechanical system issues. Lead system commissioning, inspections, and performance testing to ensure compliance and operational readiness. Perform preventive maintenance, including leak detection, system flushing, valve calibration, and routine servicing. Respond to emergency repairs and system failures to minimize disruptions to hospital operations. Interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical specifications to support installation and maintenance activities. Collaborate with construction, engineering, and facility teams to ensure safe, compliant project execution. Maintain accurate maintenance, testing, inspection, and regulatory documentation. Mentor junior staff and promote safe work practices and technical excellence. Ensure compliance with The Joint Commission, Oklahoma State Department of Health, NFPA, OSHA, and applicable building code requirements.

Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED Valid Oklahoma plumbing contractor license, or two years of experience as a hospital mechanical journeyman plumber.
Preferred Qualifications:
5+ years of related experience in healthcare or similar complex environments Experience mentoring or guiding junior mechanics Get to Know Your Team
