Job Summary:
The Journeyman Plumber installs, repairs and maintains various types of plumbing fixtures and medical gas systems.
Minimum Education:
None. High school diploma or GED, preferred. Licensure, Registration and/or
Certification:
Journeyman Plumber License from Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (CIB) or Contractor Plumber License from Oklahoma Construction Industries Board (CIB). Valid Driver's License and Motor Vehicle Report.
Work Experience:
Minimum 1 year of related experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Working knowledge of all plumbing systems. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal that present clear and concise information. Ability to install and repair all types of plumbing systems. Ability to self-direct work.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Installs various types of plumbing fixtures and medical gas systems. Repairs and maintains plumbing and medical gas systems. Estimates material requirements for plumbing projects. Reads and understands blueprints. Uses prints successfully to troubleshoot and solve plumbing problems. Assists other trades and departments when called upon.
Decision Making:
Independent judgment in making decisions involving non-routine problems under general supervision.
Working Relationships:
Works directly with patients and/or customers. Works with internal and/or external customers via telephone or face to face interaction. Works with other healthcare professionals and staff.
