Job Summary:
Our GDI Ainsworth - Mechanicsburg branch is currently seeking a skilled and dependable Commercial/Industrial Plumber to join our growing team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems across large-scale commercial and industrial facilities. We're looking for a professional with a strong safety mindset, proven technical expertise, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively to deliver high-quality results on schedule.
Key Responsibilities:
Install, assemble, and maintain piping systems for water, gas, drainage, and process systems Interpret and work from blueprints, schematics, and project specifications Perform layout, cutting, threading, and fitting of various piping materials (copper, PVC, cast iron, steel, etc.) Install and service fixtures, valves, pumps, and related mechanical equipment Diagnose issues and troubleshoot/repair plumbing systems in commercial and industrial environments Ensure all work complies with local codes, safety regulations, and union standards Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and other trades to meet project deadlines Maintain tools and equipment in safe, reliable working condition
Qualifications:
Membership in Local 520 Union (or willingness/ability to join) Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial and/or industrial plumbing Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, codes, and safety standards Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Valid driver's license with reliable transportation Demonstrated work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail OSHA certification considered an asset While we appreciate all applications we receive, we advise that only candidates under consideration will be contacted.
