Required Qualifications:
Valid driver's license with a clean, insurable driving record Proven experience in residential plumbing service, repair, and maintenance Team player with strong consultative and listening skills Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repair techniques Ability to safely operate tools, equipment, and technology commonly used in the plumbing trade Commitment to following all company safety policies, procedures, and industry standards Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, carrying, climbing, kneeling, and working in confined spaces for extended periods Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve plumbing issues efficiently Ability to work independently but will contribute to the team Ability to work in various weather conditions and residential job site environments Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills Professional appearance, positive attitude, and strong work ethic Ability to accurately document work performed and communicate findings with customers and team members
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with residential and commercial plumbing systems Experience with tablet, field service software, and mobile technology in the field Experience with drain cleaning, sewer diagnostics, water heaters, and tankless water heater systems
Position Summary:
This Plumbing Technician will earn $80,000•140,000+ annually while building your career with one of the Upstate's oldest and most respected plumbing service companies. In this role you will be repairing residential and commercial properties and maintaining a professional relationship with property owners and managers. Your ability to provide professional and ethical services for our customers is paramount. We are looking for someone who is great with customers and can build trust with our customers. They need to be go getters and enjoy solving issues & problems
Core Responsibilities:
Removing, replacing, installing, or repairing all types of plumbing fixtures according to plumbing codes Diagnosing malfunctions, repair and maintenance of plumbing and piping systems including clearing clogged waste lines Ensure all installations, repairs, and maintenance are properly sized, aligned, supported, graded, and met the requirements of all applicable codes Locate and mark positions for connections and fixtures Take inventory and track how much materials are for each job Assemble and install valve and fittings Test pipe systems and fixtures for leaks Ensure all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met Dig trenches when needed Haul equipment to and from the work site from the work truck Review building plans and specifications to determine the layout for plumbing and related materials Communicate with all customers in a positive and professional manner Work with customers to make recommendations on the purchase of new equipment when needed Work with outside vendors to purchase material and equipment Keep daily reports and detailed job logs
