We need someone who can walk into a residential or commercial property, diagnose the actual problem, explain the available solutions clearly and complete professional work without being constantly supervised. You will be expected to:
Accurately diagnose residential and commercial plumbing problems Repair and replace water, drain, waste, vent and gas systems Diagnose difficult pressure, corrosion, hard-water, freezing and recurring plumbing issues Service and install traditional, tankless and recirculating water heaters Troubleshoot and install pressure-booster and recirculation systems Work confidently with private wells and septic systems Complete residential and commercial fixture, equipment and system repairs Provide workmanship that meets or exceeds applicable plumbing codes Present clear repair and replacement options without misleading or pressuring customers Complete accurate estimates, service notes, photographs and digital documentation Maintain a clean, safe and professional service truck and jobsite Communicate promptly with dispatch, management and customers Support teammates and contribute to a strong company culture Stand behind your work and take ownership when something needs attention The plumber we are looking for You are probably already one of the stronger technicians on your current team. People trust you with difficult calls because you can think through a problem instead of simply replacing parts and hoping for the best.
You:
Have substantial residential and/or commercial service-plumbing experience Can run a service truck and complete calls independently Know how to diagnose before recommending a repair Communicate professionally with homeowners, business owners and property managers Understand that offering options is part of good service—not high-pressure selling Arrive prepared and take pride in your appearance, truck and workmanship Accept coaching without becoming defensive Keep your word and follow through Treat customers, coworkers and company property with respect Stay calm when the schedule changes or a job becomes difficult Want to keep learning rather than insisting you already know everything Care about doing the job correctly, even when no one is watching Minimum requirements Applicants must have: At least three years of hands-on plumbing experience , including meaningful service-plumbing experience Demonstrated ability to independently diagnose and complete common residential and commercial plumbing repairs Experience servicing or replacing water heaters Working knowledge of water-supply, DWV and gas systems A valid driver's license A driving record that qualifies for company vehicle insurance The physical ability to perform plumbing service work safely The ability to pass all required pre-employment screenings Reliable attendance and professional communication A South Carolina Master Plumber's license is not required but is strongly preferred. Advanced service, sales or technical training is also valuable. If your experience is primarily helper work, new construction or basic drain cleaning, this particular position is not the right fit.
