Job Description
Production Residential Plumber / Crew Lead We're Looking for More Than a Plumber We are building a team for the long haul, and we are looking for people who want the same thing. Experience matters. Plumbing knowledge matters. But the qualities we value most are work ethic, attention to detail, honesty, accountability, loyalty, integrity, and doing what is right even when nobody is watching. We want men or women who take pride in their work, keep their word, show up when they say they will, take responsibility for their mistakes, help the people around them, and aren't afraid of a hard day's work. In return, you can expect the same from us. We believe good employees deserve good leadership, clear expectations, respect, opportunity, and to be rewarded when they perform. We are not interested in constantly replacing people. We want to build a team of long-term employees who can grow with this company for years. Our expectations are high because the expectations we place on ourselves are high. If you want an easy job where doing the minimum is enough, this probably isn't the right place for you. If you take pride in being dependable, want to become better at your trade, want more responsibility, and want your effort to actually lead somewhere, we want to talk to you. The Opportunity We are seeking an experienced Production Residential Plumber / Crew Lead to lead plumbing installations on new residential construction projects. You will be responsible for your work, your crew, the quality of the installation, production, jobsite organization, and making sure the job is done correctly and on schedule. This is an opportunity for someone who wants more than a paycheck. We want people who want to build a career, become leaders, make more money, and eventually take on responsibilities they may not even realize they are capable of today. We believe one of the responsibilities of leadership is helping good employees discover just how far they can go. What We Value Most Work ethic — you aren't afraid of hard work and don't need someone constantly pushing you. Integrity — you do what is right whether someone is watching or not. Honor — your word means something. Trustworthiness — we can depend on you with our employees, builders, customers, materials, equipment, and reputation. Accountability — mistakes happen; excuses don't solve them. Own it, fix it, and learn from it. Attention to detail — production does not mean sloppy. Quality matters. Pride in your work — your name should mean something when you leave a house. Reliability — your crew and the company can count on you. Leadership — lead from the front and never ask your crew to do something you aren't willing to do yourself. Respect — treat coworkers, builders, homeowners, inspectors, and suppliers professionally. Humility — be confident enough to lead and humble enough to keep learning. Team mentality — help the person next to you succeed. Drive — always look for the next level instead of becoming comfortable with where you are today. Responsibilities Lead and supervise plumbing crews performing residential new-construction installations. Set the pace for production, quality, organization, and jobsite professionalism. Read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, specifications, and plumbing layouts. Install domestic water, sanitary waste, vent, gas, and related residential plumbing systems. Ensure installations meet local plumbing codes, builder specifications, and company quality standards. Identify problems early and communicate solutions instead of allowing problems to grow. Coordinate manpower, materials, schedules, inspections, and production requirements. Maintain clean, organized, safe jobsites. Train and develop less-experienced plumbers and helpers. Inspect completed work and hold the crew accountable for quality. Communicate professionally with builders, superintendents, inspectors, suppliers, and company management. Protect company tools, equipment, vehicles, materials, and reputation. Take ownership of the job from beginning to completion. What We're Looking For Residential new-construction plumbing experience strongly preferred. Previous crew lead, field supervisor, or foreman experience preferred. Strong knowledge of residential plumbing systems and plumbing codes. Ability to read plans and understand production schedules. Ability to manage and motivate a crew. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Valid driver's license and dependable transportation. Ability to perform the physical requirements of residential construction. Ability to work hard in real construction conditions—not just when conditions are convenient. Most importantly, we are looking for the right person. Skills can be improved. Knowledge can be taught. Experience can be gained. Character, attitude, effort, and integrity are much harder to teach. What You Can Expect From Us We will hold you accountable, but we will also hold ourselves accountable. If we expect honesty from you, you will get honesty from us. If we expect hard work from you, you will see hard work from us. If we expect loyalty, respect, integrity, and follow-through from you, you should expect exactly the same in return. People who work hard, become more valuable, take responsibility, and help this company grow will be rewarded for it. We want to develop employees into crew leaders, supervisors, managers, and whatever level their ability and ambition can take them. You may be capable of considerably more than you realize today. We intend to help you find out. The Bottom Line We aren't trying to build a company full of people who simply show up for a paycheck. We're building a company of people who are proud of what they do, proud of the people they work beside, and proud of the company name on their shirt. Work hard. Do the right thing. Keep your word. Take care of your people. Take pride in your work. If those things describe you, we'd like to meet you. We want to find Plumbers that want to earn an equity stake in our company in the next 5 years.
