Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Residential Lead Plumber to oversee plumbing projects within residential settings. This dynamic role involves managing plumbing teams, ensuring building code compliance, interpreting technical drawings, and delivering top-tier customer service. As a key leader on-site, you will coordinate installation, maintenance, and repair of plumbing systems, ensuring all work meets safety standards and regulatory requirements. Your expertise will drive the success of construction and remodeling projects, fostering a safe and efficient work environment while delivering exceptional service to homeowners. Responsibilities Lead and supervise plumbing teams on residential construction sites, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute plumbing installations accurately. Manage construction estimating processes for plumbing projects, including material procurement and labor planning. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, and construction regulatory standards. Oversee the installation, maintenance, and repair of domestic water systems, sewer lines, and other plumbing components using hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques. Conduct building code analysis to ensure project compliance and address any issues related to code violations or safety hazards. Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to deliver excellent customer service while maintaining project timelines and budgets. Supervise the use of construction site equipment such as heavy lifting gear, HVAC systems integration, carpentry tools, and hand tools to complete tasks effectively. Manage field service operations including troubleshooting plumbing system issues and performing repairs on existing residential systems. Train team members in proper safety procedures, technical skills like pipe threading or schematic interpretation, and best practices for construction plumbing projects. Qualifications Proven experience in residential plumbing with a strong background in construction site management and team supervision. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local building regulations, and construction standards. Skilled in blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, mechanical knowledge of plumbing systems, HVAC integration, and building code analysis. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools (including pipe threading equipment), welding techniques, and heavy lifting procedures. Ability to estimate construction costs accurately through construction estimating skills; experience in managing budgets is a plus. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients and team members alike. Valid driver's license with commercial driving certification preferred for site travel; experience operating construction vehicles is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to safety protocols and deadlines. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations; handyman experience or remodeling background is beneficial.
