Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, gas piping systems, and appliances according to blueprints and schematics. Read construction plans and schematics accurately to ensure proper installation of plumbing components. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to complete plumbing tasks efficiently. Ensure compliance with local building codes, plumbing codes, safety regulations, and industry standards throughout all work activities. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on existing plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Collaborate with construction teams, contractors, and clients to coordinate project timelines and specifications. Safely lift heavy materials and equipment on construction sites while adhering to safety protocols. Troubleshoot plumbing issues using basic math skills to diagnose problems accurately and implement effective solutions. Maintain detailed records of work performed, including schematics updates, repair logs, and inspection reports. Follow all safety regulations diligently to maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others. Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber or in a similar role, with a solid background in construction plumbing. Valid journeyman plumber license or certification as required by local regulations. Extensive knowledge of plumbing system installation, repair techniques, and maintenance procedures. Familiarity with construction site practices including reading blueprints, schematics, and construction plans. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, pipe-threading equipment, welding techniques, and gas piping systems. Strong understanding of building code compliance related to plumbing systems in residential and commercial projects. Experience with maintenance, repair & operations, remodeling projects, and field service work. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while adhering to safety regulations on construction sites. Excellent customer service skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members. Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe installation and repairs. Proven experience on construction sites, with a focus on safety regulations and quality standards.
