As an authorized dealer for major generator manufacturers, we are seeking a motivated and dependable plumber to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional who wants long-term career growth, leadership opportunities, and the chance to work with a company that promotes from within. This candidate will be responsible for the installation, repair, and service of residential and commercial standby generator systems. This role requires experience with gas piping, plumbing systems, and job site safety. Overtime is regularly available, and team leadership opportunities exist for motivated individuals looking to advance their careers. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and maintain plumbing and gas piping systems for standby generators Perform gas line installations, pressure testing, and final connections Troubleshoot and repair plumbing and gas piping systems Read and interpret plans, specifications, and installation requirements to determine proper pipe sizing based on BTU demand and pressure requirements Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with local codes and regulations (including IFGC and IRC standards) Collaborate with electrical and installation teams to complete generator projects from start to finish Train and mentor helpers and apprentices as needed Maintain organized job sites, tools, equipment, and materials Follow company safety policies and procedures Qualifications 2+ years plumbing experience required Active Texas plumbing license (Tradesman Plumber-Limited, Journeyman, or Master — Texas State Board of Plumbing Examiners) preferred; candidates who are eligible but not yet licensed will be considered Railroad Commission of Texas LP-Gas Installer certification (Category D - General Installers and Repairmen) required for work on propane/LP-gas systems — Beacon will help an otherwise-qualified candidate obtain this certification after hire if not already held Experience with natural gas and propane (LP-gas) piping and gas line installations preferred Experience installing backup/standby generators a plus Ability to perform physically demanding work in various environments Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Valid Texas Driver's License with a clean driving record Ability to pass a background check Duties May Include Driving company trucks and work vehicles Loading and stocking trucks with plumbing and generator installation materials Supply house runs Installing and laying pipe Gas line installation and connections Working in attics, crawl spaces, trenches, and confined spaces Assisting with generator startup and system testing Supporting installation teams as needed We are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
