We are looking for a professional Journeyman Plumber who understands that being a great service plumber is about much more than fixing pipes. You need to know your trade. But you also need to know how to walk into a homeowner's house, communicate professionally, diagnose the problem, explain solutions clearly, build trust, and confidently help the customer make the right decision for their home. We want someone who takes pride in how they look, how they communicate, how they work, and how they leave a customer's home. We are looking for someone who is Bulwark worthy. That means you have a great attitude, hold yourself to a high standard, enjoy learning, are willing to teach others, and want to be part of building an exceptional company rather than simply collecting a paycheck. What We're Looking For The right person will: Hold a current Texas Journeyman Plumber License Have strong residential service and diagnostic experience Communicate exceptionally well with homeowners Be comfortable presenting multiple repair and replacement options Understand that selling means educating the customer and helping them make a decision — not pressuring them Know how to build value before discussing price Be comfortable asking for the work and closing a service call Have experience using ServiceTitan , including estimates, options, photos, notes, invoices, and customer communication Maintain excellent documentation on every job Take pride in keeping a clean, organized truck and work area Treat customers' homes with respect Be willing to continually learn new systems, products, technology, and sales processes Be willing to help train and mentor apprentices and developing plumbers Work well as part of a team Show up with a positive attitude and solutions-oriented mindset Understand that professionalism begins before you ever knock on the customer's door What a Bulwark Plumber Looks Like A Bulwark plumber doesn't walk into a home, look at the problem for five minutes, throw out a price, and hope the customer says yes. You slow down. You listen to the homeowner. You ask questions. You diagnose the entire problem. You explain what you found in language the customer understands. You provide professional options. You answer questions without talking down to the customer. You make recommendations based on what you would want someone to tell your own family. And when the customer chooses Bulwark, you perform the work at a level that makes them confident they chose the right company. That's the standard. ServiceTitan Experience We operate through ServiceTitan , and we expect our technicians to use the platform professionally. You should be comfortable with—or willing to quickly master: Dispatching and job management Customer histories Digital estimates Good / Better / Best or multiple-option presentations Photos and job documentation Technician notes Equipment and material documentation Invoicing and payment collection Membership presentations Follow-up recommendations If you already know ServiceTitan well, that's a major advantage. Sales Ability Matters This is a professional service plumbing position , and sales ability is part of the job. We are not interested in high-pressure sales tactics. We are interested in plumbers who understand how to communicate value . A great Bulwark technician should be able to diagnose a problem, explain why it happened, discuss the available solutions, present pricing confidently, and allow the homeowner to make an informed decision. If the idea of discussing money with a homeowner makes you uncomfortable, this probably isn't the right position. If you enjoy solving problems, educating customers, earning their trust, and winning the work because you provided the best experience, you'll fit in well here. Leadership & Teaching We want people who make the people around them better. You may work alongside apprentices and developing technicians. We expect our experienced plumbers to teach—not belittle. Share what you know. Explain why things are done a certain way. Help younger plumbers develop good habits. And be willing to learn yourself.
