Job Description
Job Summary A well-established commercial plumbing contractor in the Greater Houston area is seeking a licensed Commercial Plumber for a direct hire opportunity. This role supports commercial new construction, tenant improvement, remodel, retrofit, retail, and light-industrial plumbing projects. This is a strong opportunity for a skilled plumber who wants steady, year-round work with a reputable field team known for quality workmanship and reliable project delivery. Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, waste, and vent systems.
- Read and interpret blueprints, plumbing codes, and project specifications for commercial construction and tenant improvement projects.
- Perform rough-in and finish plumbing work in coordination with general contractors, project schedules, and other trades.
- Install and service water heaters, backflow prevention devices, grease traps, and gas lines in compliance with applicable code requirements.
- Troubleshoot commercial plumbing issues, including leak detection, drain cleaning, repiping, and system repairs.
- Communicate job progress, material needs, safety concerns, and scope issues to the Project Manager or Superintendent. Qualifications
- Active Texas Journeyman Plumber license issued by TSBPE (Master Plumber license a strong plus)
- 3+ years of commercial plumbing experience — new construction and/or tenant improvement preferred
- Working knowledge of IBC / local commercial plumbing code requirements
- Comfortable reading commercial blueprints and coordinating with GCs and other trades
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening Compensation and Benefits
- $27.00 to $34.00 per hour, commensurate with license level and experience.
