Houston, TX Job Details Full-time $26 - $30 an hour 1 day ago Qualifications Driver's License Full Job Description Job Summary KR Wolfe is seeking a Healthcare Equipment Service Technician with a background in plumbing, mechanical systems, or biomedical equipment service to support healthcare equipment projects for our client, Getinge. This role focuses on the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, and service of equipment such as sterilizers, cart washers, sonic/ultrasonic cleaning systems, and related healthcare equipment . This is a hands-on mechanical and equipment service role , not a Sterile Processing Technician position. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Install, inspect, maintain, and service sterilizers, cart washers, sonic cleaners, and related healthcare equipment. Perform plumbing and mechanical work associated with equipment installation and service. Work with water supply, drain, steam, valves, fittings, pumps, and related utility connections. Troubleshoot mechanical, plumbing, and equipment-related issues. Assist with equipment removal, replacement, positioning, leveling, and installation. Perform preventive maintenance and equipment inspections. Read installation manuals, equipment specifications, diagrams, and basic construction drawings. Document service work, equipment conditions, project photos, and completed tasks. Coordinate with project managers, healthcare facility personnel, and other field technicians. Follow all company, client, and healthcare facility safety requirements. Travel to customer locations as required. Qualifications Experience in plumbing, biomedical equipment service, mechanical maintenance, field service, or equipment installation preferred. Experience servicing or installing sterilizers, autoclaves, cart washers, ultrasonic cleaners, commercial washers, steam equipment, or similar systems is highly desirable. Familiarity with plumbing systems including water, drain, steam, valves, fittings, and pumps. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability. Experience in hospitals, healthcare facilities, laboratories, commercial buildings, or industrial environments is a plus. Ability to safely use hand and power tools. Ability to read technical manuals, diagrams, and equipment documentation. Valid driver's license required. Ability and willingness to travel based on project needs. Ideal Candidate Background Strong candidates may have experience as a: Plumber Commercial or Industrial Plumbing Technician Biomedical Equipment Technician Field Service Technician Mechanical Service Technician Healthcare Equipment Technician Sterilizer or Autoclave Technician Hospital Facilities Technician Commercial Equipment Service Technician Experience specifically with Getinge, Steris, Belimed, sterilizers, cart washers, or similar healthcare equipment is a strong plus.
