Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Plumber to join our forward-thinking and growing construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems across various residential and commercial projects. Your expertise will ensure that plumbing installations meet all safety standards and local plumbing codes, contributing to the successful completion of high-quality construction projects. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work on diverse sites, utilize your technical skills, and grow within a supportive team environment. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes and fixtures in new construction, remodels, and maintenance projects Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to accurately execute plumbing layouts Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently on construction sites Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment while adhering to safety protocols Conduct system inspections to identify issues and troubleshoot mechanical problems using your mechanical knowledge Collaborate with SuperIntendents and other trades such as Electricians, and HVAC technicians to ensure seamless project execution Maintain detailed records of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for project documentation Follow all safety procedures on-site, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to OSHA standards Be teachable and willing to teach Qualifications Proven experience as a Journeyman Plumber with a valid license or certification in plumbing in the state of Utah. Ability to be taught and work cohesively in a positive, solution-driven environment. 4+ years of plumbing experience with completion of an approved apprenticeship program Strong knowledge of construction plumbing practices, schematics, and blueprint reading Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools in a construction environment Familiarity with new construction projects and installations is preferred Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work effectively at heights or confined spaces when required Ability to work long hours to complete jobs Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to pipe fitting and layout Experience working on remodeling or maintenance projects is a plus Valid driver's license with clean driving record is required Join us if you're ready to bring your plumbing expertise into a positive construction environment where your skills make a real impact!
