Job Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Plumbing Assistant for Lewis Companies, LLC and play a vital role in supporting plumbing projects from start to finish. This entry-level position offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in construction plumbing, pipe installation, and maintenance while working alongside skilled tradespeople. Your energetic approach and eagerness to learn will help ensure that plumbing systems are installed, repaired, and maintained efficiently and safely. This paid position is ideal for individuals passionate about construction, mechanical systems, and building infrastructure, looking to grow their skills in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems according to blueprints, schematics, and building codes Operate hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, and other equipment safely and effectively Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to support plumbing tasks Support pipe fitting activities including cutting, threading, fitting, and securing pipes in various construction settings Follow safety protocols diligently during all field activities to ensure a secure work environment Help with remodeling projects, system upgrades, and routine maintenance tasks on plumbing systems Maintain cleanliness of work areas and properly store tools and materials after use Experience Prior construction experience or hands-on work with plumbing or HVAC systems is preferred but not required; training will be provided for motivated candidates Familiarity with construction site safety procedures and building code compliance standards Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and understanding technical instructions Experience reading blueprints or technical schematics is advantageous Customer service skills are a plus for interactions with clients or team members on-site Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and basic carpentry or handyman skills will support your success in this role Demonstrated ability to follow safety protocols related to power tool safety and field service operations This position offers an exciting pathway into the construction trades with opportunities for skill development in plumbing systems maintenance and repair.
