Job Description
General Description Under general supervision, performs work of moderate difficulty in installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems and apparatus associated with city buildings and facilities; performs related work as required. Duties and Responsibilities Working knowledge of the standard practices, tools and materials of the plumbing trade; of state and local plumbing codes; of occupational hazards and safety precautions of the trade. Skill in the use of tools, materials and equipment used in the plumbing trade. Ability to read, interpret and work from sketches, blueprints and specifications; to inspect projects for adherence to quality of work, codes and engineering drawings; to understand and carry out general oral and written instructions; to communicate effectively orally and in writing; to develop and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external customers.
