Local Contractors - Section 3 Business and Employment Notice Southeast Rural Community Assistance Project, Inc. (SERCAP) is preparing to carry out the Indoor Plumbing and Rehabilitation Program (IPR-Flex) program through the use of Virginia Indoor Plumbing Rehab/Loan Program (IPR) Funds. This is a program though the Department of Housing & Community Development (DHCD). In the implementation of this program, the following job types may be available: a. Well drilling and water system installation b. Septic fi eld installation c. Construction excavation d. Residential electrical service installation upgrade e. Residential plumbing installation f. Residential general contracting/rehabilitation g. New construction heating system installation h. Termite and other pest treatment i. Lead paint inspection and abatement j. 540-342-2932 The general qualifi cations necessary for the contractors to be eligible to bid on rehabilitation work includes: In carrying out this project, SERCAP, its contractors and subcontractors will to the greatest extent feasible, utilize businesses and qualifi ed persons who permanently reside within: Counties of Albemarle, Augusta, Buckingham, Fluvanna, Highland, Greene, Louisa, Nelson, Page, Rockingham and Shenandoah counties for employment and training positions. Any person or fi rm willing to work in the above localities may request to participate in procurement opportunities associated with this project by contacting the following person 1. Contractors - Licensed by DPOR as a Class A, B or C in the appropriate trades. Provide Certifi cate of Insurance, provide two (2) references, have been in business as a general contractor for 1-year, and provide proof of training in Lead-Safe Work Practices (RRP), EPA Certifi ed Renovation fi rm and Certifi ed Renovator. Written requests should include the name, address, product or service and phone number. All above referenced procurements will be made on a competitive basis.
