Overview Join our dynamic construction team as a Plumbing Journeyman and bring expert craftsmanship to a variety of residential and commercial plumbing projects. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing systems in accordance with local building codes and safety regulations. Your mechanical knowledge, hands-on skills, and attention to detail will ensure the delivery of high-quality work that meets project specifications and client expectations. Duties Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems including pipes, fixtures, and appliances on construction sites and in existing buildings. Read and interpret construction plans, schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to execute precise installations. Use hand tools, power tools, pipe threading equipment, and welding techniques to assemble plumbing components safely and efficiently. Ensure all work complies with local building codes, plumbing building codes, and safety regulations throughout each phase of the project. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plumbing systems to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective repairs. Collaborate with construction teams, carpenters, electricians, and other trades to coordinate project timelines and ensure seamless integration of systems. Lift heavy materials safely during pipe installation or remodeling projects while adhering to safety standards. Maintain accurate documentation of work performed, materials used, and inspections completed for quality assurance purposes. Qualifications Proven construction experience with a strong background in residential or commercial plumbing projects. Valid journeyman plumber license certification demonstrating mastery of plumbing skills. Experience reading blueprints, schematics, construction plans, and understanding mechanical drawings. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, pipe threading machines, welding equipment, and basic math skills for measurements and calculations. Knowledge of plumbing building codes, local regulations, safety standards, and gas piping system requirements. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely on construction sites or during remodeling tasks. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members. Familiarity with maintenance, repair operations (MRO), field service procedures, and troubleshooting techniques in plumbing systems. Mechanical knowledge related to pipe installation, system maintenance & repair, schematics interpretation, and remodeling projects.
