Support Journeyman Plumber in the installation, maintenance, and repair of piping and fixture systems.Education/Certification:

Knowledge of methods, materials, equipment, and appliances used in plumbing Effective planning and organizational skillsExperience:
5 to 8 years of field experienceMajor Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Read blueprints and follow state and local building codes. 2. Determine the materials and equipment needed for a job. 3. Install pipes and fixtures. 4. Inspect and test installed pipe systems and pipelines. 5. Troubleshooting malfunctioning systems. 6. Maintain and repair plumbing systems. 7. Install and repair water, gas, and other piping systems in the district facilities. 8. Install plumbing fixtures, such as sinks and toilets, and appliances, such as dishwashers and water heaters. 9. Clean drains, remove obstructions and repair or replace broken pipes and fixtures. 10. Also help maintain septic systems—large, underground holding tanks that collect waste from the district facilities not connected to a sewer system.Supervisory Responsibilities:

Maintain emotional control under stress Frequent standing, walking, pushing, and pulling Moderate lifting and carrying some stooping, bending, and kneeling Limited exposure to extreme hot and cold temperatures- Minimum Salary $21.30 hourly
