Job Description

We are seeking to hire Technicians and Shop Helpers for our client in Little Rock, AR! $18.00-22.00/Hour, Depending on Experience and Position This is a unique position for a person to rebuild centrifugal pumps and use our proprietary coating technology to repair various fluid handling components such as impellers, pump casings, agitator blades, and pipes spools . The ideal candidate is someone who is mechanically inclined, thinks outside of the box, and is competent in both technical knowledge and skilled manual application to facilitate coatings. Key Activities and Responsibilities Visually inspect, photograph, and document pump and part upon arrival Use pump cross sectional drawings to disassemble, inspect, and assemble centrifugal pumps with OEM parts Use measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc) to understand the difference between physical part dimensions and OEM drawing dimensions to create a refurbishment plan Use hand and power tools to create non-standard models and fixtures out of wood, plastic, wax, and metal materials to facilitate the application of SIConit coating material Apply coating material by hand with focus on fine details and quality surface finish to restore part to original dimensions.
Requirements/Education:
High School, GED, or equivalent preferred Technical certifications (welding, CAD, etc.) helpful but not required. Machinist or woodworking experience preferred Experience in manufacturing or repair of rotating equipment preferred Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to perform diagnostic trouble shooting, measurement, data collection, repair, and re-assembly of pumps and components Critical thinking abilities and problem-solving skills Oral and written skills to effectively communicate with co-workers, shop staff, supervisors and managers Valid driver license and ability to operate forklifts Ability to pass a drug screen & background check
Pay:
$18.00 - $22.00 per hour
