Job Description

The Operations Intern assists and learns many of the aspects of Key Cooperative's location. Essential duties and responsibilities will be performed while supporting Key Cooperatives mission, vision, and business values. The operations intern will project a positive attitude to customer and fellow employees, provide outstanding and courteous customer service, and follow company/ employee safety policies at all times. Operations Assist in loading/unloading grain, fertilizer, chemical, seed, and bagged/liquid feed. Assist in grain quality and elevator operations. Assist in filling and delivery anhydrous ammonia, chemicals, and liquid/bagged feed. Assist in maintaining Key Cooperative facilities and equipment. Operate/learn to operate equipment such as forklifts, skid loaders, tenders, pickups and trailers. Assist with transferring, counting, and calculating inventory. Assist with mixing/blending chemicals, fertilizer, and grain. Customer Service Keep the location manager informed of operational, customer, vendors, or employee issues that may arise. Promote the business with existing and potential customers. Project a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times; continue to gain and exhibit good customer relation skills. Other Responsibilities Assist Agronomy Sales Team in servicing customers through crop scouting, soil sampling and tissue sampling programs. Read and follow company employee policies. Accept additional responsibilities as directed by the Location Manager. Network with other interns when given the opportunity. Safety and Organization Assist in keeping all inside and outside work areas extremely neat and orderly. Continuously follow the company employee safety guidelines, policies, and safety programs established by Key Cooperative Education and/or Experience High school graduate with either experience or a strong desire to learn this type of work.
