Pump Truck Operator

Pump Truck Driver/Operator Job Summary:

We are seeking a dependable, honest and hard-working individual to join our team. This position will operate a septic pump truck (CDL A or B). Applicant must be able to drive a manual transmission. Tanker endorsement is required to operate the pump truck. Responsibilities includes driving to work sites and servicing septic systems. This involves troubleshooting issues with customers, pumping tanks and discussing best practices for septic maintenance. Occasional locating/uncovering of septic tanks will be required. Must maintain a professional attitude while working with our customers. The ideal applicant will have at least a basic understanding of vehicle maintenance. Familiarity with the surrounding area a plus. Minimal on-call responsibilities, most weekends off. Work schedule is 8:00 am - 4:30 pm Monday - Friday.

Qualifications:

Must have a valid CDL Class A or Class B Tanker Endorsement required Must have reliable transportation Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen Must be able to pass an MVR screen Ability to work independently and manage time efficiently Effective communication skills with coworkers and clients Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and perform physical activities requiring considerable use of arms and legs Ability to occasionally move items in excess of 50 lbs. Must be physically able to constantly climb into and out of a truck as well as bending/crouching/standing for long stretches Must be able to work and operate equipment in all types of weather conditions Ability to drive automatic and manual transmissions Comfortable operating a vehicle with GPS tracking systems Knowledge of and ability to adhere to all driving laws
