  • Full-time BMI Mechanical is seeking an experienced Pump & Motor Repair Technician to join our team in Kensington, NH.
This is primarily a shop-based position focused on the inspection, repair, rebuilding, and testing of commercial and industrial pumps and motors. Most work is performed in our repair facility, with occasional travel to customer sites to assist with the removal, installation, startup, and troubleshooting of equipment. We are looking for a dependable, self-motivated technician with pump and motor repair experience who can work independently while contributing to a strong team environment. Responsibilities Inspect, diagnose, repair, and rebuild commercial and industrial pumps. Replace bearings, mechanical seals, impellers, shafts, sleeves, gaskets, and related components. Disassemble, inspect, assemble, and test electric motors and rotating equipment. Perform quality checks and testing on completed repairs. Maintain accurate repair records and job documentation. Work closely with the Lead Pump Technician to complete repairs efficiently and on schedule. Assist with field service work including equipment removal, installation, alignment, startup, and troubleshooting as needed. Operate forklifts, lifting equipment, and shop tools safely. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Qualifications Experience repairing commercial or industrial pumps and motors required. Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience with centrifugal pumps, bearings, seals, couplings, and rotating equipment preferred. Valid driver's license with a good driving record. Must be able to stand 90 to 100% of the workday. Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in industrial environments. Positive attitude and strong work ethic. Ability to pass routine and unscheduled background and drug screenings.
