Position Summary The Waste Management & Pump-Out Technician is responsible for providing on-site RV waste pump-out services to campground guests while maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary campground environment. This position operates the campground pump-out truck, traveling throughout the property to service occupied campsites, park-owned cabins, and park-owned RV rentals by removing black and gray holding tank waste safely and efficiently. The technician performs scheduled seasonal pump-outs, services park-owned accommodations, responds to emergency service requests, conducts routine waste management inspections, and helps ensure campground sanitation standards are maintained. This is a physically demanding outdoor position that requires excellent customer service, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently. Essential Responsibilities Drive and operate the campground pump-out truck equipped with a manual (5-speed) transmission. Travel throughout the campground to perform scheduled pump-outs directly at occupied campsites. Pump out park-owned cabins, park-owned RV rentals, and other company-owned accommodations as scheduled. Connect to one or multiple waste outlets on guest RVs to safely remove black and gray holding tank waste. Complete weekly seasonal pump-out routes, servicing approximately 30-70 campsites each Tuesday. Respond to emergency pump-out requests on Fridays and as assigned. Perform waste management inspections and service spot checks on Saturdays. Clean, sanitize, and maintain the pump-out truck, hoses, fittings, tanks, and all related equipment after each use. Monitor equipment for proper operation and report maintenance or repair needs promptly. Maintain accurate records of completed pump-outs and guest service requests. Provide courteous and professional service while interacting with guests at their campsites. Follow all company safety procedures, environmental regulations, and sanitation standards. Assist with other campground operations and maintenance duties as assigned. Physical Requirements Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 75 pounds and maneuver filled pump-out hoses weighing up to 150 pounds. Ability to bend, kneel, squat, climb, twist, and stand for up to 8 hours per shift. Ability to safely operate a manual (5-speed) vehicle. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, rain, humidity, and uneven terrain. Comfortable working around RV waste systems while maintaining high sanitation and safety standards. Qualifications Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record. Ability to drive a manual (5-speed) transmission. Strong work ethic and ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Dependable, punctual, and safety-focused. Strong customer service and communication skills. Previous experience in campground operations, maintenance, sanitation, wastewater, septic services, or RV systems is preferred but not required. Schedule Expectations Part-time position averaging approximately 25 hours per week.

Tuesday:

Scheduled seasonal pump-out route servicing approximately 30-70 campsites.

Friday:

Emergency guest pump-outs and scheduled service for park-owned cabins and RV rentals.

Saturday:

Waste management inspections, service spot checks, and additional pump-outs as needed. Additional hours may be available during holidays, special events, and peak camping season.
