Pump Down Operator -

Midland, TX Job Purpose:

Entry level position, experience not required. Learn to perform such duties as required in the servicing of oil and gas wells and the maintenance and repair of service units and tools. Having satisfactorily completed all the training requirements, the Pumpdown Operator continues broadening of experience on well site operations and primary tool maintenance.

Key Function:

Operate, under normal conditions, do walk arounds during pump down, keep people out of the red zone, watch for potential mechanical failures. Prepare well for service operation, opening and closing bleed-off's, assist valve team that well head is open. Assist the field service supervisor in maintenance checks of pumps and assigned equipment on location. Inspect, maintain, service units, and associated equipment. Assess the level and nature of malfunctions and potential malfunctions and perform such remedial maintenance as within the scope of an operator's skills and training. Maintain tools, shop and equipment in good condition and keep shop and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Safely drive and operate any transport vehicle and truck in the district. Learn proper assembly, disassembly, installation and maintenance of pressure control equipment, and attain appropriate pressure control certificate. Participate in well site job risk analysis and continual improvement programs in the district that affect client satisfaction. Comply with applicable company policies, including Personnel, Quality System and Health, Safety and Environment standards and procedures. Complete relevant safety training.

Required Qualifications:

Possess and maintain a Class A CDL Must have clean driving record Oilfield experience a plus Must be able to pass ATF, local and federal background checks Must be a minimum of 21 years of age

Salary:

$18.00 - $20.00 hr
