Job Description
The Water Transfer Specialist is responsible for the safe and efficient movement of water used in oil and gas operations, including hydraulic fracturing, drilling, and production support. This role involves installing, operating, monitoring, and maintaining water transfer systems such as pumps, hoses, manifolds, and storage equipment to ensure continuous flow while following all safety and environmental procedures. Set up, operate, and break down water transfer equipment including: Pumps, hoses, lay-flat piping, manifolds, and tanks Monitor flow rates, pressure, and system performance to ensure uninterrupted water supply Troubleshoot leaks, clogs, pressure issues, and equipment malfunctions Perform routine maintenance and inspections on pumps and transfer systems Communicate with supervisors, frac crews, and other field personnel to coordinate operations Follow all safety policies, environmental regulations, and site-specific procedures Maintain clean and organized work areas (housekeeping) Complete daily reports, safety logs, and equipment checklists Assist with loading, unloading, and transporting equipment as needed Previous oil & gas field experience preferred (water transfer, frac, production, or rig work) Experience with high-pressure hoses, pumps, and fluid transfer systems is a plus Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues Ability to work long hours in outdoor environments and varying weather conditions Strong safety awareness and compliance mindset Must meet conditional job offer requirements including background, drug test, MVR, fit for duty, agility.
