Water Well Technician Job Summary:
A Water Well Technician installs, maintains, repairs, and services water wells, pumps, pressure systems, and related equipment. They work in residential, commercial, agricultural, and industrial settings to ensure safe and reliable water supply systems. This position requires technical skills, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions. Key Responsibilities Install water well pumps, motors, pressure tanks, and water treatment equipment. Perform routine maintenance and inspections on water well systems. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues with pumps and well equipment. Assist with drilling, development, and rehabilitation of water wells. Test water flow, pressure, and system performance. Troubleshoot pump failures and water supply issues. Maintain accurate service records and complete required documentation. Follow safety procedures and environmental regulations. Operate service trucks, hoists, and specialized equipment. Communicate with customers regarding system conditions, repairs, and maintenance recommendations.
