In this role, you will be responsible for performing precise gas testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of gas detection systems and related instrumentation. Your expertise will help maintain safe working conditions, optimize system performance, and support compliance with safety standards. Responsibilities Conduct comprehensive gas testing using calibrated sensors, sensors, and vision inspection systems to ensure accurate detection of hazardous gases. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues across electrical systems, pneumatic systems, and industrial automation controls including programmable logic controllers (PLCs) and distributed control systems (DCS). Perform calibration and maintenance of gas detection equipment, sensors, and electrical instrumentation to guarantee optimal performance. Read and interpret electrical schematics, piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), schematics, and electrical blueprints to facilitate effective troubleshooting and repairs. Utilize precision measuring instruments such as ohmmeters and calibrators for diagnostics and calibration tasks. Support installation, commissioning, and field service activities for gas detection systems and related industrial controls. Ensure compliance with electrical safety procedures while maintaining equipment safety standards in accordance with industry regulations. Skills Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatic systems, and mechanical principles relevant to industrial maintenance. Proven experience with electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting electrical systems, sensors, and electrical safety procedures. Familiarity with industrial electrician practices including reading electrical schematics, P&IDs, control schematics, and blueprints. Skilled in programming in engineering environments such as Calypso or similar platforms for automation control. Expertise in calibration techniques for sensors and instrumentation used in gas detection systems. Ability to interpret electrical instrumentation data and troubleshoot complex electrical control circuits involving low voltage systems. Experience working with industrial automation components including vision inspection systems, sensors, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and low voltage electrical systems. Knowledge of Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) for system layout understanding. Strong problem-solving skills supported by engineering troubleshooting methodologies. Excellent customer service skills for field service operations involving client interactions.
