Job Description
Job Summary BJ's Pump Service LLC is looking for a reliable, hard‑working Seasonal Part‑Time Field Assistant to support our pump pulls, well system repairs, pressure tank replacements, and general field operations. This role works directly alongside our lead technician in rural Wisconsin, helping with hands‑on tasks that keep homes, farms, and local properties supplied with safe, dependable water. This is a great fit for someone who enjoys physical outdoor work, learning new skills, and being part of a small, family‑run service company. Duties Assist with pulling and setting submersible well pumps Help load, unload, and organize tools, pipe, fittings, and equipment Support pressure tank installations, switch replacements, and basic plumbing tasks Assist with water sampling Help operate and guide equipment during pump pulls Carry and stage materials at job sites Maintain clean, safe work areas and company equipment Follow safety procedures and communicate clearly with management Provide general labor support on service calls and emergency jobs Experience Mechanical aptitude or experience in construction, plumbing, farm work, or outdoor labor Ability to lift 50-75 lbs and work in varying weather conditions Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Willingness to learn well systems, pumps, and basic electrical troubleshooting Positive attitude, punctuality, and strong work ethic Comfortable working in a small team environment
