Ideally the candidate is someone who is mechanically inclined, comfortable working with tools and at heights, and enjoys hands-on work outdoors and around boats. Sailing or marine experience is greatly preferred, but not required—we're willing to train the right person. You should be reliable, safety-conscious, physically capable, and willing to learn. This position involves working on sailboat rigging, climbing masts, running and splicing line, installing hardware, and assisting with a variety of marine projects. We're a small company, so we're looking for someone who takes pride in their work, communicates well, and wants to develop real skills in the marine industry. At the moment only looking for part time work 10-20+ hours a week. We can come up with a fixed schedule or if preferred a flexible one. The shop is based out of Oceanside/Vista area but often are traveling to boats in surrounding areas for work. All travel will be compensated or provided. Wages will depend on previous experience and knowledge.
