Job Description

American Equipment HR LLC (AmQuip Crane Rental) is seeking an Install Technician to support crane and lifting equipment installations for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. In this field-based role, you will assemble, erect, and dismantle cranes, interpret load charts and engineering plans, and ensure all work meets strict safety and quality standards. Working closely with operators, riggers, and project managers, you'll perform inspections, troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues, and document all work. AmQuip offers technical training, strong safety culture, and growth opportunities in crane operations and field services. Responsibilities Install, assemble, and configure cranes and lifting equipment on construction and industrial sites Read and interpret blueprints, load charts, and technical manuals to ensure proper setup Perform pre- and post-installation inspections to verify safety, stability, and compliance with regulations Work closely with operators, project managers, and rigging teams to coordinate lift plans and schedules Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues during installation Maintain accurate installation, inspection, and service records in accordance with company standards Follow all OSHA, company, and site-specific safety procedures and use proper PPE at all times Operate hand tools, power tools, and lifting/rigging gear safely and efficiently Assist with crane dismantling, relocation, and demobilization at project completion Participate in ongoing technical and safety training to maintain certifications and skill level Required Skills Crane installation Rigging and lifting techniques Mechanical systems troubleshooting Hydraulic systems troubleshooting Basic electrical diagnostics Reading blueprints and load charts OSHA and crane safety regulations Use of hand and power tools Equipment inspection and documentation Lockout/Tagout procedures
