Job Description
Job Summary LLS Steel Erectors is seeking motivated and skilled Ironworkers and Riggers to join our growing team. In this role, you will assist with the erection, installation, repair, and maintenance of structural steel systems on commercial construction projects throughout Florida. Team members will also support rigging operations, material handling, and heavy equipment coordination while maintaining the highest level of safety and professionalism on every jobsite. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse structural steel projects while growing your skills in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment with opportunities for advancement and training. Responsibilities Erect, install, and dismantle structural steel frameworks and components according to project specifications Perform rigging, signaling, and material handling operations safely and efficiently Assist with crane picks, load positioning, and steel placement activities Operate equipment such as forklifts, aerial lifts, boom lifts, and other jobsite equipment as needed Conduct safety inspections of rigging gear, fall protection equipment, and work areas Assist with loading, unloading, and organizing materials on jobsites and storage areas Collaborate with crew members, operators, foremen, and project teams to complete work safely and efficiently Maintain compliance with OSHA regulations and all company safety procedures Properly use PPE and maintain 100% fall protection compliance where required Support general construction and steel erection activities as directed by supervision Skills & Qualifications Previous experience in structural steel erection, rigging, or construction preferred Comfortable working at heights and in outdoor environments Basic knowledge of rigging practices, signaling, and materials handling Ability to safely operate or learn to operate forklifts and aerial equipment Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work as part of a team Ability to lift 50+ lbs and perform physically demanding tasks OSHA 10 preferred but not required NCCCO Signal Person/Rigger certification is a plus Welding, connecting, decking, or bolt-up experience is a plus CDL is a plus but not required Spanish-speaking or bilingual candidates are strongly encouraged to apply Training Opportunities LLS Steel Erectors believes in investing in our workforce and offers training opportunities including: Aerial Lift Training Forklift Training Signal Person Qualification Training Ongoing Safety Education and Jobsite Development Additional Information Experienced ironworkers and riggers may be assessed during the hiring process to ensure placement and compensation appropriately reflect skill level and field experience.
