DECK HAND NEEDED - DOCK & PILE DRIVING BARGE!
Bay Dock Enterprise is a licensed and insured marine construction company based out of Tampa, Florida who has been in business for over 30 years. We are looking for a Deck Hand to work aboard our dock/pile driving barge. Job Summary We are seeking a Deck Hand to work aboard our pile driving/dock construction barge. This is physically demanding, hands-on marine construction work performed on the water. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, comfortable working around heavy equipment and machinery, and able to work as part of a tight-knit crew in all weather conditions. Responsibilities Assist with rigging, lifting, and moving materials (pilings, lumber, hardware) on and off the barge Support pile driving operations, including setting piles, handling hammers/leads, and positioning equipment Handle lines, anchors, and spuds to position and secure the barge Operate hand and power tools as directed Assist crane operator with signaling and rigging loads Perform general deck maintenance and housekeeping to keep the barge safe and organized Follow all safety protocols and wear required PPE at all times Assist with loading/unloading materials and equipment from support vessels or docks Perform other duties as assigned by the barge captain/foreman Requirements Must be a US citizen with a valid driver's license, or authorized to work in the US We are a drug-free workplace; all applicants must pass a drug screening upon employment Background check will be performed prior to hiring Ability to perform physically demanding labor, including lifting up to [50-75] lbs, for extended periods Comfortable working on the water, around heavy machinery, and in varying weather conditions Basic knowledge of knots, rigging, and marine safety practices (or willingness to learn) Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to work well in a team Preferred Qualifications Prior marine construction experience Pile driving experience Rigging experience or certification How to Apply Apply through Indeed or if you have any questions please call 813-855-1672.
