MEMCO is currently hiring a Rigger to support a precast concrete manufacturing and production operation. This role is responsible for safely rigging, lifting, moving, and loading large concrete products using cranes, slings, shackles, and other rigging equipment. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, dependable, and comfortable working in a physical industrial environment around heavy materials and equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

Safely rig, lift, move, and position large precast concrete products using approved rigging methods. Communicate with crane operators and other team members using hand signals and verbal direction during lifting operations. Inspect and select appropriate rigging equipment including slings, shackles, chokers, chains, and lifting devices. Assist with loading and unloading concrete products onto trailers for transportation. Guide suspended loads through production areas and around obstacles while maintaining safety standards. Read production drawings, piece tickets, and layouts to identify products and lifting requirements. Perform routine inspections of rigging equipment and report damaged or unsafe gear. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow all safety policies and procedures.

Requirements :

1-2 years of experience in rigging, construction, precast concrete, steel erection, crane operations, or a related industrial environment. Ability to safely work around cranes, suspended loads, and heavy equipment. Ability to read and interpret drawings, lifting plans, and production layouts. Ability to lift materials weighing 50 lbs. or more and perform physical labor throughout the shift. Comfortable working outdoors and in varying weather conditions as required. Strong attention to safety, communication, and teamwork. Forklift, overhead crane, or rigging certification is a plus. MEMCO is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
