Job Description

Job Title Marine Cargo Handler (Rigger) General Summary Marine Cargo Handlers work in conjunction with Crane Operators in related oilfield activities by loading, unloading and securing cargo from the deck of boats to docks, rigs or platforms. Job Functions Being familiar with rigging hardware and safety issues associated with rigging, lifting loads and securing cargo. Attaching hooks, chains and cables to maintain safe lifts of equipment. Communicating, either by hand signal or radio, to the crane operator. Inspecting and cleaning rigging hardware. Chipping and painting. Reporting Reports directly to the On-Job Site Supervisor and MAKO Supervisor. Qualifications Must have prior experience. Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol screen. Must be able to pass a physical. Must be able to pass training requirements. Must be able to work 12-hour shifts.
