RIGGER / YARD WORKER

Torresen Marine is seeking a dependable, hardworking individual to join our crew as a Rigger/Yard Worker. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality workmanship, and wants to build a career in the marine industry.

ABOUT TORRESEN MARINE

Torresen Marine has been serving the sailing community since 1965 and is recognized as West Michigan's largest retail outlet dedicated to sailing. Located on the shores of Muskegon Lake, we offer boat storage, marine services, parts, accessories, and support for sailors throughout the region. Also, recently became a part of the Keenan Marina portfolio. We are looking for someone who shares our passion for boating and will contribute to the dependable service our customers have come to expect.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Rigging and preparing sailboats for launch and delivery Stepping and unstepping masts Installing and removing standing rigging, running rigging, and related equipment Assisting with spring launches, fall haul-outs, blocking, and storage Moving boats, trailers, stands, and equipment safely around the yard Pressure washing, bottom preparation, detailing, and general boat maintenance Maintaining clean, safe, and organized work areas Assisting marine technicians and other yard personnel as needed Following all company and marina safety procedures

QUALIFICATIONS

Marine rigging, boatyard, mechanical, construction, or related experience is preferred Familiarity with sailboats and marine equipment is a plus Comfortable working outdoors in changing weather conditions Able to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively with a team Valid driver's license required Willingness to learn—we will train the right candidate

Pay:

$18.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 30.0 - 45.0 per week
