American Equipment HR LLC (AmQuip) seeks a Fabricator, Rigger to support crane and lifting projects for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure clients. In this role, you will fabricate, modify, and assemble steel components, install lifting points, and rig loads for safe crane operations. Responsibilities include reading blueprints, performing precise measurements, welding and cutting, selecting and inspecting rigging gear, and assisting with crane setup. You will uphold strict safety standards, follow OSHA and company procedures, and collaborate with operators and project teams in a fast-paced, field-based environment. Responsibilities Fabricate, cut, weld, and assemble steel components for crane and lifting projects Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and rigging plans Select, inspect, and set up rigging gear, slings, shackles, and hardware Rig loads safely for crane lifts, following load charts and safety standards Assist with crane setup, signaling, and lift coordination as directed Perform measurements, layout, and quality checks to ensure accuracy and fit Follow OSHA and company safety procedures, including PPE and lockout/tagout Inspect tools, rigging, and fabrication equipment; report and correct hazards Collaborate with crane operators, supervisors, and project teams to meet schedules Maintain clean, organized work areas and accurate job documentation.
