Bale Tie /
Wire Tying Associate Shift:
3:00 PM to 11:00PM Monday to Friday. OT may be required Pay rate: $19.50/hr
Job Summary:
The Bale Tie Associate is responsible for securing compressed materials using wire or other tying materials to ensure bales are properly bound and prepared for storage, transportation, or further processing. This position requires attention to detail, physical strength, and the ability to safely work with wire and industrial equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Secure and tie compressed bales using wire or other approved tying materials. Measure, cut, position, and fasten wire around bales according to company specifications. Inspect bales to ensure wires are properly secured and materials are stable. Handle and position wire safely while avoiding sharp edges and potential pinch points. Assist with moving, stacking, and organizing completed bales as needed. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Follow all safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company guidelines. Communicate any damaged equipment, unsafe conditions, or improperly secured bales to a supervisor. Perform other general production duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to frequently bend, reach, twist, and use hands repetitively. Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required. Ability to work around machinery, wire, and compressed materials. Ability to safely handle wire and other production materials. Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Qualifications:
Previous manufacturing, production, warehouse, or material-handling experience preferred. Experience working with wire, strapping, baling equipment, or similar materials is a plus. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions. Reliable attendance and punctuality. Ability to follow safety procedures and work effectively as part of a team.
Work Environment:
This position is performed in a manufacturing/production environment and may involve exposure to machinery, noise, dust, wire, and varying temperatures. Proper PPE and safety procedures must be followed at all times. #
