Overview Starlite Group Inc. (a division of Hoffman Industrial Co.), located in Meadville, PA is seeking a Rigger Worker. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for safely handling and rigging heavy loads, operating various lifting and material handling equipment, and ensuring all safety protocols are meticulously followed. Duties Safely rig, load, and unload materials using forklifts, and other heavy equipment in accordance with load handling procedures. Implement proper load securing rigging methods to ensure stability during transport and lifting operations. Conduct thorough inspections of safety equipment, lifting gear, hydraulics, and load handling tools before use to guarantee operational safety. Follow construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA safety standards diligently during all activities. Coordinate with team members to execute lifting operation tasks efficiently while adhering to safety protocol guidelines. Assist with the set-up of all lifting devices and methods Monitor equipment skates during movement of machines Monitor machine movement through narrow openings Qualifications Experience in forklift operation and material handling in a manufacturing environment Valid CDL license a plus Mechanical knowledge of hydraulics, lifting equipment, and material handling machinery such as forklifts. Ability to perform load handling procedures accurately and safely. Knowledge of safety equipment inspection routines and proper use of personal protective gear.
