We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Rigger for construction and industrial operations team. The Rigger will be responsible for the safe and efficient handling, positioning, and securing of heavy loads using various lifting and rigging equipment. This role is essential for ensuring the safety of personnel and the integrity of materials during lifting operations on construction sites, warehouses, and industrial facilities. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge, extensive experience with cranes and lifting equipment, and a thorough understanding of safety regulations to uphold OSHA standards. Responsibilities Set up, inspect, and operate a variety of lifting equipment including cranes, forklifts, boom trucks, backhoes, and excavators to facilitate material handling. Implement proper load securing rigging methods in accordance with safety protocols to ensure stability during lifts. Coordinate with crane operators and other team members to plan lift sequences while adhering to load handling procedures. Conduct thorough inspections of rigging gear, safety equipment, and lifting devices prior to use to identify potential hazards. Follow established construction workplace safety regulations and OSHA standards during all rigging and lifting activities. Handle materials safely within warehouse environments or construction sites, ensuring proper storage and transportation. Maintain detailed records of load weights, rigging configurations, inspection reports, and operational logs. Execute complex lifting operations involving overhead cranes, hydraulic lifts, or other heavy equipment with precision. Adhere strictly to safety protocol guidelines to prevent accidents or injuries during all phases of lifting operations. Collaborate closely with project managers, site supervisors, and logistics teams to coordinate timely material delivery and placement. Requirements Proven experience in rigging within construction or industrial environments; familiarity with construction site safety standards is essential. Mechanical knowledge related to cranes, hydraulics, load handling procedures in crane operations, and materials handling equipment operation. Valid commercial driver's license with experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, boom trucks, backhoes, excavators, or similar machinery. Strong understanding of crane operation techniques including overhead cranes and hydraulic systems. Knowledge of load securing rigging methods aligned with safety regulations for various types of loads. Ability to interpret technical drawings, load charts, and operational manuals accurately. Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and implementation of OSHA safety standards. Excellent communication skills for effective coordination with team members across diverse roles. Construction workplace experience including shipping & receiving procedures is highly desirable.
