In this vital role, you will be responsible for directing crane operations, handling loads with precision, and ensuring all rigging and signaling activities adhere to strict safety standards. Your expertise in materials handling, heavy equipment operation, and construction site safety will contribute to efficient project execution and a safe working environment. Responsibilities Safely rig loads using appropriate load securing methods, ensuring stability and balance during lifting operations Signal crane operators clearly using standardized hand signals or radio communication to facilitate precise load movements Assist in the setup, inspection, and maintenance of lifting equipment such as cranes, forklifts, boom trucks, and hydraulics systems Coordinate with team members to execute materials handling tasks efficiently while adhering to OSHA safety standards and construction safety regulations Conduct thorough inspections of rigging gear, safety equipment, and lifting devices before use to prevent accidents or equipment failure Follow established load handling procedures in crane operations, including weight calculations and load distribution checks Maintain detailed records of load movements, safety inspections, and equipment usage for accountability and compliance purposes Requirements Proven experience in construction workplace safety regulations and heavy equipment operation including cranes, forklifts, backhoes, excavators, and boom trucks Mechanical knowledge related to hydraulics, materials handling equipment operation, and rigging techniques Valid commercial driver's license with experience driving construction-related vehicles such as trucks or trailers is preferred Strong understanding of overhead cranes, load securing rigging methods, and implementation of OSHA safety standards Ability to read technical diagrams and follow detailed instructions for crane setup and operation Excellent communication skills for signaling crane operators and coordinating with team members effectively Demonstrated commitment to safety protocol adherence and construction site safety regulations Physical ability to perform demanding tasks including lifting heavy loads, climbing ladders or scaffolding, and working in various weather conditions Join us in building safer worksites while advancing your career in a fast-paced environment where your skills are valued.
