Certification Full Job Description The Rigger assembles rigging to lift and move various equipment and materials.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Selects cables, ropes, pull up, winches, blocks, and sheaves Test rigging to ensure safety and reliability Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials Attach loads to rigging to provide support or prepare them for moving, using hand and power tools Control movement of heavy equipment through narrow openings or confined spaces, using chain falls, gin poles, gallows frames, and other equipment Attaches load with grappling devices, such as loops, wire ropes, and chains to crane hook Attaches pull up and blocks to fixed overhead structures, such as beams, ceilings, and gin pole boom with bolts and clamps Perform daily maintenance and safety checks Generate and maintain accurate job aid for duties assigned Ensure compliance of all safety procedures and policies while promoting company's safety culture Perform other duties as requested, directed, or assigned
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
High School Diploma or GED required At least 3 to 5 years' experience as a rigger Must have an

Ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings Excellent verbal and written communication skills Exercise discretion and independent judgement when handling day to day information Excellent time-management skills to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks and responsibilities to meet deadlines and adjust to changing priorities Ability to work cooperatively across all levels delivering on commitments - results oriented Ability to complete work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail Ability to work under pressure to meet department targets and deadlines Able to work non-routine hours, when necessary
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to work outdoors, exposed to heat and humidity, cold and rain, and around heavy traffic areas Moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another Ability to operate job related tools Constantly perform repeating motions that may include feet, leg, wrists, hands and/or fingers Work that includes moving and/or lifting objects up to 50 pounds, carry at least 30 pounds Ability to frequently walk on uneven surfaces, including natural ground in varying weather conditions Bay Ltd. is an Equal Opportunity Employer
