Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Pile Driving Foreman to lead and oversee heavy construction projects involving pile driving operations. This vital role involves managing on-site activities, supervising crews, ensuring safety compliance, and coordinating with project teams to deliver quality results efficiently. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive construction site experience, and proficiency with construction technical drawings. Duties Lead and supervise pile driving crews, ensuring safe and efficient operations across multiple construction sites Conduct daily pre-task planning, Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), and toolbox safety meetings. Ensure operations comply with company safety policies, project requirements, and applicable OSHA regulations. Coordinate with crane operators, pile drivers, welders, riggers, signal persons, and other craft personnel. Ensure proper rigging, signaling, lifting, pile handling, positioning, driving, cutting, welding, and installation procedures are followed. Monitor pile location, alignment, elevation, penetration, and installation requirements according to project plans and specifications. Read and interpret construction drawings, pile layouts, elevations, specifications, and work plans. Plan manpower, equipment, materials, and work sequencing to maintain productivity. Inspect equipment, rigging, pile driving leads, hammers, templates, barges, and work areas for safe operating conditions. Maintain daily production reports, time records, equipment information, and other required field documentation. Coordinate work activities with project management, superintendents, safety personnel, inspectors, and other contractors. Identify changing field conditions and communicate potential safety, production, quality, or scheduling issues. Mentor employees and maintain a professional, productive, and safety-driven crew. Requirements 5+ years of pile driving/heavy civil construction experience preferred. Previous experience as a Pile Driving Foreman, Lead Pile Driver, or similar supervisory position strongly preferred. Experience with pile driving cranes, impact/vibratory hammers, leads, rigging, and associated equipment. Marine construction and barge-based pile driving experience preferred. Strong understanding of crane operations, rigging practices, hand signals, and suspended-load hazards. Ability to read construction drawings, plans, specifications, and pile layouts. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to plan work and manage crews while maintaining safety, quality, and production expectations. OSHA 10/30, First Aid/CPR, rigging, signal person, or other applicable certifications are a plus. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required. Must be willing to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and around heavy construction equipment. Must be able to work overtime, weekends, and travel as project requirements dictate. Pay:
