This role focuses on the fabrication of heavy-wall pressure vessels and process skids in a dynamic fabrication facility. The Vessel Fitter will collaborate closely with ASME-certified welders, quality inspectors, and engineers to ensure that all components are laid out, positioned, fitted, and aligned according to strict standards. This position offers an opportunity to engage in precision work that is critical to energy and industrial processing applications.

Key Responsibilities:

Lay out, position, fit, and align heavy plate, shells, heads, nozzles, and structural components for pressure vessels and process skids. Collaborate with welders, quality inspectors, and engineers to ensure compliance with ASME Section VIII standards. Utilize water levels, transit/laser levels, and geometric layout techniques to achieve precise measurements. Safely operate cutting torches, plasma cutters, and grinders to prepare materials for welding. Implement safe rigging practices and operate overhead cranes for the movement of heavy components.

Required Qualifications:

Minimum 3 to 5+ years of direct experience as a Vessel Fitter or Fabricator in an ASME code shop or heavy steel fabrication environment. Demonstrated expertise in ASME Section VIII, Division 1 pressure vessel fabrication standards. Proven mastery in using water levels, transit/laser levels, and geometric layout techniques. Expert ability to read, interpret, and work independently from complex engineering drawings and schematics. Proficient in tack welding (FCAW, GMAW, SMAW) and safely operating cutting torches, plasma cutters, and grinders.
